1. FEATURE ARTICLE-"WELCOME TO QUICK KEYS NEWS(TM)"

Welcome to the premier issue of Quick Keys News(TM)!  This newsletter has been designed with you in mind to thank you for your support as clients, colleagues, family and friends.

Quick Keys News(TM) will be published monthly as a gift from me to each of you.  It will come via e-mail and will contain valuable information to help you make your life easier.  Part of Quick Keys'(TM) Mission Statement states that we want to "...support creativity and choices to design the ultimate business and personal lifestyles".  Hopefully the information you gain from these newsletters will help you in getting to that "perfect" place in your life.

The "FEATURE ARTICLE" section of the newsletter will contain a letter or message from me on a particular topic or issue.  This "theme" will be followed throughout the newsletter in the other sections.  This month, I will take the time to introduce the newsletter and what you will find in each section.

Please feel free to e-mail me at any time with questions, comments or suggestions at Beth@QuickKeys.com.  I hope you enjoy the information you receive.

2. VIRTUAL VALUE

In the "VIRTUAL VALUE" section a tip or bit of information will be provided to assist you in working in the "virtual world". If you have a tip you would like to submit to Quick Keys News(TM) e-mail Beth@QuickKeys.com.

"What is a Virtual Assistant"
A Virtual Assistant is a Personal Assistant who works from their office location and offers all of the services of an "in office" Secretary, Administrative Assistant, and Office Manager.  Most are available beyond the corporate 9:00 - 5:00 schedule.

All Virtual Assistants offer different services to their clients. Some of these services may include  Internet Research, Web Design, Client Contact, Event Planning, Date Reminders, Appointment Setting, Travel Arrangements, Mailings, Bookkeeping, etc...

A Virtual Assistant is a person that can make your life easier. By delegating tasks to a Virtual Assistant, you allow yourself more free time to help you create the business and personal lifestyle you desire.

3. Q&A FOR THE VA

I am often asked questions pertaining to Virtual Assisting or the "Virtual" world.  Each month, in this section, I will share one of those questions with you.  These questions may come from other Virtual Assistants, from clients or from friends and family.  If you have a question, please e-mail Beth@QuickKeys.com.

Q/ I own a small business and I never feel like I have enough time to do the things I love to do.  What kind of things could I delegate to a Virtual Assistant?

A/ What I usually suggest to new clients, or potential clients is to look around your desk or office, and make a list of all that needs to be done (phone calls, newsletter, mailing, etc.).  Within this list there will be things that only YOU can handle.  Put a check mark next to these items.  Now go back through those check marks - look again...are they really items only YOU can handle, or are they something that can be delegated to a Virtual Assistant?  You may find that you are draining valuable time by doing things  that a Virtual Assistant could easily manage for you.  In learning how to utilize a Virtual Assistant, don't be afraid to talk to your VA, and ask about ways he/she can help you.  You may receive other suggestions that you never thought of.

Also, ask yourself these questions:
1) What is the "ideal" position you want to have in YOUR business?
2) What are your strengths and weaknesses?
3) What do you enjoy doing for the business?
4) What do you dread the most about the business?

Just think, if you can concentrate on your strengths and do the tasks you love to do - how much better you will feel and more productive you will be.  This will reflect in your business and personal life!
